NOTE: This trim has some slight staining on the edges. We believe it to be Rayon from the 1950s.

It is a loop braid and it was "put up" on chipboard cards which for some reason was more prone to staining on the edges of the cards in white rayon. It's not uncommon for white and off-white rayon trims from that period that were carded.
